Halloween is always fun because of the "strange people" who visit our classroom. As well, it usually means we are almost finished with the first term and studying a new topic: Mesopotamia. Our topic of study for the next three to four weeks will be looking at the "cradle of civilization", Mesopotamia, or ancient Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Jordan. Students will discover how settlements develop and the characteristics that make up a civilization. This unit lays the foundation for studying ancient and medieval cultures for the rest of the year.
Below are pictures of our unusual Halloween visitors.
